This month we bid a fond farewell to one of Pultrex’s longstanding team members and give a warm welcome to a new member of staff.
Mick Welham, Manufacturing Director at Pultrex is retiring. Mick has been part of the Pultrex team for many years and has played an active part in developing and growing the pultrusion operation as well as managing the department through a number of major changes – not least the recent acquisition by KraussMaffei. We wish him all the best as he spends more time with his family, in particular, his grandchildren, and completing the renovation of his garden!
New to the team is Neil Crockett in the position of Production Manager. Neil comes to us with a strong background in Lean Six Sigma, and we’ll be using this knowledge to further improve efficiency and reliability of Composites Manufacture at Pultrex HQ.
Lean Six Sigma is a data-driven, fact-based improvement process that delivers greater process control. The standardisation this brings reduces defect events and makes manufacture more cost-effective.
Customers and clients will see tangible benefits of on-time fulfilment in a cost-effective service.
As part of the role Neil will be heading up production planning, health and safety, cost control, quality, productivity, efficiency, and looking after Pultrex’s ISO Certification.
